Americans aren’t stupid, but when it comes to Palestine/Israel, they’re profoundly ignorant … and it’s deliberate.

CNN’s Wolf Blitzer has written a book whitewashing Israeli spying on the US and has worked for the Israel lobby. Time Magazine’s bureau chief, Joel Greenberg served in the Israeli army. Atlantic staffers, US News & World Report senior foreign correspondents, NPR, AP and New York Times editors and reporters have either served in the Israeli military or their loved ones have.  This clearly impacts the integrity of their reporting.  And then there’s the money

Henry Swieca, a billionaire hedge fund investor, funnels his charitable giving through the pro-Israel Swieca Family Foundation.  They have given hundreds of thousands of dollars to the American Israel Education Foundation, Friends of Israel Defense Forces (FIDF), David Horowitz’ Islamaphobic Freedom Center and the Hebron Fund, a Brooklyn-based group that funds illegal Israeli settlements in Hebron.

Here are some of the other billionaires who support Israel’s illegal expansion and repression. Larry Ellison of Oracle, one of the eight richest men in the world, has donated $9 million to the Israel Defense Forces (IDF). Gambling enabler Sheldon Adelson has given $100 million to Birthright Israel, a program that brings young Jews to Israel to learn about their “right” to all the land. Adelson has also given $5.2 million to the FIDF and raised over $20 million to resist Students for Justice in Palestine and the Boycott, Divestment, & Sanctions (BDS) movement.  Michael Dell of computer fame has given $1.8 million to the FIDF while Ira Rennert has pledged $25.4 million to build Jewish homes in the Muslim Quarter of the Old City in East Jerusalem. Daniel Gilbert of Quicken Loans is a big supporter of the FIDF, so much so that they gave him an award in 2006.  Haim Saban raised $33 million for the IDF in 2014 and contributes regularly to  the American Israel Public Affairs Committee (AIPAC). Fossil fuel billionaire Lynn Schusterman regularly donates to Birthright, an organization the Lem G. Cooperman helped endow. Estee Lauder’s, Ronald Lauder was the 2015 President of the World Jewish Congress. He also supports illegal settlement growth and stopping the BDS campaign. Finally, the tweeter in chief, Donald Trump, supports orthodoxy in Israel, which explains why he thinks Jerusalem in an appropriate place to put a US embassy.

In 2011 the US Congress cut aid for poor Americans in favor of using that money to help Israel.  Following Obama’s treaty with Iran, Israel’s annual foreign aid rose to $3.8 billion.

What does Israel do with all that money? They provide free college and universal health care for all their citizens, they buy weapons from US manufactures and they sell weapons to the world.  Israel has more than 300 Homeland Security companies, exploiting a range of products, systems, services, and training, especially trainnings in occupation techniques.   During the final years of Somoza’s rule in Nicaragua, Israel supplied 98% of the arms. During the 1980’s Israel provided surveillance technology for Pinochet in Chile.  Israel sold apartheid South Africa Uzis, missile boats, Gabriel missiles, communication technology, radar technologies, ammunition, drones and security training.  They also helped fortify South Africa’s borders with microwave detection systems, radar systems, mine fields and electronic fences.  During the Iranian revolution of the late 70’s, Israel sold over $150 million worth of arms to the Iranians as part of the Iran/Contra deal.  In the US, Elbit, the Israeli company that builds the apartheid wall, helps design the US/Mexico wall.  Israeli and Zionist organizations have trained US occupation forces in surveillance and crowd control through trainings at events like Urban Shield.

Israel and the US are bonded on the issue of white dominance in a security state.  You and I help pay for this.  To get us to pay for this we are fed lies and kept in the dark on the reality of the situation. The first thing we need to do is wake up from the nightmare. Just wake up America.
